Oliver Kempkens is Managing Director of Russia’s biggest Bank Sberbank. In this position Oliver is responsible for the Development of a New School of Design in order to push Sberbank’s already award winning digital products beyond limits. Besides Oliver is Managing Director of ADAPT OR DIE VENTURES, a global Change consultancy with the focus on the intellectual renewal of organizations due to their digital ambitions. Our experiences stretches from product and service design (human-centered design: Design Thinking), strategy development via the implementation of Design Thinking („building the right things”) and Agile („in the right way“) up to workspace design and cultural transformation.
Before Oliver Kempkens founded ADAPT OR DIE, he was Director at the American Executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates. Until summer 2015, Oliver Kempkens was the Global Lead for the workspace renewal and led the Design Thinking implementation at SAP. Oliver wrote several articles on Design Thinking, and supports Russian deals for The Boston Consulting Group in Moscow, and is Member of the Advisory Board of the exclusive tech-only recruiting company Talent Tree, and Managing Partner of Romeda Capital in Russia. He studied law and mediation, and attended several executive trainings at Northwestern, the Wharton, the Harvard Business School and Stanford University.
He taught in various roles Design Thinking, Innovation Management and Change Management at the Skolkovo School of Management in Moscow, VERN Business School and the University of Applied Sciences in Upper Austria, and the IMC in Krems.
